Designing Interactions: How to make your remote easier to use in the dark
I don’t know about you, but I cannot stand having to use a new remote or a remote that I’ve never used in the dark. Like a lot of America, I watch TV before I go to bed, and usually if I’m travelling, I have to watch TV and stare at the remote for an hour before I go to bed so that I can be familiar enough with it when I go to bed.
Not anymore. This simple, shall I say, ingenious idea to block out all extraineous buttons and just have what you need is a great little hack and saves minutes of trying to find the ‘last’ button to flip between Law and Order: SVU and Cats 101.
